Akron Children's is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgical and related procedures across operating rooms, physician offices, sedation services and hospital units. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Onsite at Akron Children's you will interact with physicians, patients, and staff to ensure smooth scheduling processes.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical/medical environment preferred.
• Experience with scheduling in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD terminology is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates process to schedule surgical and other procedures across operating rooms, physician offices, sedation, and hospital units.
• Manages physician schedules to support efficient practice operations.
• Communicates with patients/families, physicians, hospital staff and others via multiple channels.
• Generates reports, letters, forms and other communications using computer software.
• Provides administrative support for clinics and physicians as directed.
• Other duties as required.
