• 1–3 years of experience in surgery scheduling or complex scheduling in a healthcare setting.
• Experience using computerized surgery scheduling systems.
• Experience with Epic Cadence or comparable EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments for surgeries and coordinates OR block time; manages calendars.
• Interviews patients to collect demographic and financial information; enters data into the system.
• Confirms insurance coverage and obtains authorizations; acts as lead for surgical cases across departments.
• Handles surgery scheduling calls and relays messages to nurses/doctors.
