Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health seeks a Scheduling Coordinator at the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. The role coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling, working with physicians and the perioperative team to ensure facilities, staff and equipment readiness for scheduled procedures.

This onsite position requires a High School diploma or GED, CPR/IBLS certifications, and the ability to manage pre-procedure instructions, insurance verifications and appointment coordination in

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• IBLS/CPR per position level; BLS/CPR valid through hire date.

Responsibilities

• Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
• Coordinates with physicians and healthcare team to ensure facility, surgeon, staff and equipment availability.
• Communicates pre-procedure instructions to patients/families and confirms appointments.
• Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.
• Works in fast-paced environment with critical thinking and independent action.
