Job summary

UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO seeks a Scheduling Coordinator in the Female Pelvic Medicine department. This onsite, full-time role coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling and ensures smooth patient flow for both inpatient and outpatient procedures.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with physicians and healthcare staff, performing pre-procedure instructions, and handling insurance verifications to ensure timely appointments.

Qualifications

• Minimum required education: High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
• Coordinates with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities, surgeon, staff and equipment.
• Communicates with patients and/or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
• Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
