Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of working experience in medical field or customer service.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance requirements and medical terminology preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years scheduling experience.
• ECW experience strongly preferred.
• Spanish/English bilingual is a plus but not required.
• Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
• Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgeries and follow-up appointments as designated by physicians.
• Interact with patients, physicians and staff within clinic and at outside facilities with accurate, timely information.
• Coordinate processes and route paperwork to meet physician and facility requirements.
• Ensure efficient telephone communication and document work processes as required.
• Follow clinic protocols and procedures; maintain HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians, staff and management.
• Book surgeries based on physician volume and standard turn-around times.
• Identify scheduling barriers and implement solutions to meet goals.
