Hanker Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Surgery Scheduler / Surgical Coordinator to manage the complete scheduling process from pre- to post-operative care. The role requires expertise in surgery scheduling, insurance authorizations, Epic EMR, and patient coordination in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate will coordinate multiple procedures, appointments, authorizations, and clinical requirements while maintaining excellent patient service and strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of experience with surgery/procedure scheduling.
• 1 year of experience with insurance authorizations.
• Experience with Epic EMR is required.
• Ability to obtain surgical/procedure authorizations from insurance companies.
• Surgery scheduling and insurance authorization must be shown on resume.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all patient surgery scheduling activities (pre- and post-operative).
• Manage insurance verification and surgery authorizations.
• Ensure pre-operative studies and clearances are completed.
• Serve as liaison among patients, physicians, staff, and insurers.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Handle referrals, calendar management, and documentation as needed.
