Qualifications

• RN license (IDFPR) and BLS required.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in high-acuity surgical units and postoperative care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs unit-specific nursing duties and maintains accurate documentation.
• Conducts initial patient assessment and develops care plans.
• Implements and adjusts nursing interventions based on patient needs.
• Provides postoperative care for complex surgical patients, including chest tubes, wound care, ostomy management.
• Cares for tracheostomies and wound vac; monitors ostomies and drains.
• Collaborates with surgical residency and OMFS services to optimize patient care.
