Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks a registered nurse to provide high quality direct and indirect patient-centered care in surgical and labor and delivery settings, working with an interdisciplinary team and communicating patient changes promptly.

Requirements: graduate of an accredited nursing program, CT RN license, CPR certification on hire, and prior experience in surgical or labor and delivery (including assisting with C-sections).

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have and maintain current a Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs population-specific comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of the patient’s condition and care needs.
• Collaborates with surgical team to define, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Follows medication rights and ensures safe administration based on patient age and condition.
• Documents nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates autonomy and professional development; acts as a role model.
