Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in a surgical services setting. The role emphasizes collaborative care with the interdisciplinary team and accurate communication of the patient’s condition.

The ideal candidate will hold a CT RN license, CPR certification, and prior surgical or labor/delivery experience, especially assisting with C-sections.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have and maintain current a Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
• Must have certification in CPR upon hire.
• Experience in surgical or labor and delivery care is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs population-specific comprehensive assessments and reassessments of the patient’s condition and care needs.
• Collaborates with the surgical team to define, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Follows medication rights and safe administration practices for surgical patients.
• Documents nursing care and patient responses in a timely manner using appropriate tools.
• Demonstrates ability to work under stress, prioritize, and communicate clearly with team.
