The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced medical setting. Prior referral experience and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; must read, write and speak English.
• 2-3 years of referral experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process referral authorizations for procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Verify insurance and obtain required authorizations.
• Schedule procedures and coordinate pre-operative testing.
• Obtain and communicate surgery orders; ensure documentation is complete.
• Communicate with hospitals and centers regarding procedures.
• Address patient inquiries and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Reschedule patients and send reminder texts.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional conduct.
