Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a Patient Procedure Scheduler to handle scheduling of surgical and pre-operative procedures, verify insurance and obtain pre-certifications. The role may also support check-in/out and patient communications as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, at least two years in healthcare and solid customer service experience. Strong organization and attention to detail are a must for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years healthcare experience required.
• Experience in a customer service role required.

Responsibilities

• Registers and schedules patients for surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Inform patients of their financial responsibilities.
• Provide patients with surgical and procedural information and instructions as appropriate.
• Obtains and/or facilitates pre-certification as required.
• Maintains calendars and schedules related to surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Answers all incoming patient inquiries.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
