Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare in Lake Forest seeks a Patient Procedure Scheduler-Urology for a full-time day shift. The role supports surgical and pre-operative scheduling at the Lake Forest campus with some days in Glenview; schedule is Mon, Tue, Fri 7:30a-4:30p and Wed–Thu in Glenview.

Responsibilities include registering and scheduling patients, informing financial responsibilities, obtaining pre-certifications, and maintaining calendars.

This is a Full Time position at 40 hours per week located primarily on the Lake Forest Hospital campus. Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at Lake Forest, 7:30a-4:30p then Wednesday and Thursday in Glenview 7:30a-4:30p.

The Patient Procedure Scheduler is primarily responsible for scheduling surgical and pre-operative procedures and maintaining schedules related to these procedures. Scheduling includes registration, verifying insurance information, obtaining pre-certifications, instructing patients on appropriate procedures. This role may also be cross-trained and utilized as a Patient Service Representative, thereby assuming the responsibilities associated with the check-in/out functions, or as a Patient Liaison, thereby assuming the responsibilities associated with provider templates and patient correspondence.
