Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Procedure Scheduler to coordinate surgical and pre-operative scheduling, help patients understand financial responsibilities, and provide procedural information. The role may involve check-in/out duties or patient liaison tasks as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with 2 years in healthcare and customer service experience; preferred are a bachelor’s degree and experience with an electronic medical records system.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years previous healthcare experience.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Previous experience with an electronic medical records system (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Registers and schedules patients for surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Inform patients of their financial responsibilities.
• Provide patients with surgical and procedural information and instructions as appropriate.
• Obtains and/or facilitates pre-certification as required.
• Maintains calendars and schedules related to surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Answers all incoming patient inquiries.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
