Job summary

Midland Medical Broward, LLC. is seeking a Surgical Coordinator in Oakland Park, FL. This full-time role manages preoperative clearances from scheduling through completion, working with patients, providers, and surgical teams to meet deadlines.

You will coordinate testing and paperwork, track surgery dates, and ensure accuracy of clearance packets for provider review, while supporting a patient-centered care approach.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ clinical experience in healthcare setting.
• Electronic Medical Records training.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) issued by an accredited institution.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preoperative medical clearance from scheduling to completion.
• Communicate with surgeons’ offices and facilities about dates, documents, and deadlines.
• Obtain and review clearance requirements and preoperative orders.
• Schedule preoperative testing (EKG, labs, imaging, consults).
• Ensure all testing and documentation are complete for provider review.
