Job summary

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ, is seeking an OR Technician CTOR to join the Operating Room team. Working Day shift, you will assist in perioperative care, prepare the surgical environment, and support the surgical team to ensure safe patient outcomes.

In collaboration with the perioperative RN, you will organize and administer age-appropriate care, maintain sterile technique, and help with equipment and supply management.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS required (American Heart Association)
• Successful completion of Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative.
• In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients.
• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensure patients‘ physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.
