Job summary

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking an OR Technician CTOR to support the Operating Room team in Newark, NJ. The role requires collaboration with the perioperative RN to provide age-specific patient care during the surgical process.

The position is full-time, daytime hours (37.5 per week) with a focus on maintaining safe patient outcomes and adhering to departmental protocols.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS required (American Heart Association).
• Successful completion of all Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative.
• In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients.
• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensurepatients' physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division.
