Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ, is seeking an OR Technician CTOR to support the Operating Room team during day shifts. The role collaborates with perioperative nurses to administer age-appropriate patient care and maintain a safe surgical environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring expected physiologic responses to surgery and completing orientation requirements. This is a full-time, hourly position with competitive benefits and a 37.5-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS required (American Heart Association).
• Successful completion of Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes.
• Ensure patient’s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative.
• In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualized age-specific care to patients.
