Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• One year of medical scheduling experience preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge or Administrative Partner experience.
• Professional and courteous manners when dealing with customers.
• Appropriate and timely independent judgement.
• Computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries, appointments and procedures as requested by physicians and customers.
• Transcribe and scan orders and H&P into the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Maintain scheduling work queues and perform schegistration of patients.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for patient scheduling.
• Initiate medical necessity checks on surgeries, appointments and procedures.
• Assist physicians and staff and maintain master physician listings; ensure regulatory compliance.
