Job summary

Boone Hospital Group in Missouri is seeking an admissions/administrative professional to direct the patient surgery flow at the physician’s office, schedule appointments and coordinate with OR teams to ensure timely surgery dates.

You will support the Central Billing Office by maintaining patient financial records, obtain prior authorizations, and educate patients on pre-op instructions and what to expect on surgery day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Healthcare office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining prior authorization for outpatient testing/imaging – internal and external.
• Obtaining prior authorization for inpatient and outpatient surgeries.
• Scheduling or rescheduling surgeries and coordinating with OR scheduling.
• Educating patients with surgery information (pre-op, medications, location, prep instructions).
• Scheduling post/op appointments and coordinating pre/op appointments with surgery date.
• Obtaining cardiac clearance from the patient’s provider.
