Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an LPN for the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. You will administer meds, manage IV piggybacks, perform dressing changes, and assist with trach and NG tube care alongside RNs. This is a high-acuity setting with emphasis on patient safety and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed in the applicable state.
• Current BLS certification completed within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with surgical/medical units and high-acuity patients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications and manages IV piggybacks and fluids.
• Charting: assessments and care plans in coordination with the RN.
• Assist with dressing changes, trach care, NG tube care and feedings.
• Support ostomy care and discharge education as needed.
