Becton Dickinson in Warwick, RI is seeking an Associate Territory Manager to provide field-level support to physicians and clinicians for Interventional Surgery. The role requires 80% travel and potential progression to a Territory Manager, with openness to relocation within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
• 0-2 years general sales experience preferred.
• Experience working in a team environment, particularly with sales people.
• The ability to work in an operating room environment is required.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.
• Good judgment and maturity.
• Willing to relocate to fill an open Territory Manager position.
• Ability to travel 80%, including overnight travel.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license with 3 years of consecutive driving history.
• BD auto safety standards must be met and maintained.
• Understand needs analysis, product buyer concept, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of group purchasing principles.
• Ability to discuss products in relation to the human body.
• Familiarity with medical and surgical terminology.
• Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.
• Must live within assigned region.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with field sales to plan and execute training and technical support for clinical cases.
• Prioritize targeted customers, cases, and training events with sales management.
• Develop regional physician proctors for training activities.
• Conduct training and in-servicing for hospital surgery staff and support personnel.
• Develop regional centers of excellence and support territory physician training seminars with Marketing.
• Provide support for regional marketing events, conventions and symposia.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain equipment, promotional materials, and a presentable environment.
• Complete paperwork accurately and use sales funnel to set goals and target accounts.
• Schedule calls with a mix of OR days and surgeon contacts; optimize productive selling time.
• Understand pricing, discounts, and product availability; know competition.
