Our practice, Riverside Oral Surgery Dental Assistant, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our team! This is a unique and exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about Oral Surgery and committed to delivering outstanding care.

As an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our Oral Surgeons with various surgical procedures. This position requires a dedicated professional who can handle multiple responsibilities with compassion and precision.

What You'll Do:
  • Prepare the treatment room, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and availability of necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments following infection control guidelines.
  • Set up equipment such as suction devices, dental chairs, X-ray machines, and surgical lights.
  • Assist during oral surgery procedures by preparing patients, anticipating surgeon needs, maintaining a sterile environment, and monitoring patient vital signs and comfort.
  • Handle and dispose of surgical waste in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Provide post-operative care instructions, answer patient questions, and educate about oral health and prevention.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, document treatment plans, and assist with administrative tasks like scheduling, billing, and inventory management.
What You’ll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid X-ray license.
  • Previous experience in dental assisting, especially in Oral Surgery, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and materials.
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and safety measures.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in dental software and computer literacy.
