Job summary

University at Buffalo seeks a Medical Student Clerkship Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations of undergraduate medical education clerkships and electives within the Department of Surgery.

The coordinator serves as the liaison between students, faculty, residents, clinical sites and offices to support clerkship curricula across learning environments. Experience with UBLearns/MedHub is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, residents, and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential student, patient, and program information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage student rotation placements and schedules.
• Coordinate onboarding requirements for clinical sites.
• Maintain didactic schedules, syllabi, course materials, UBLearns announcements and clerkship communications.
• Coordinate clerkship simulations and OSCE rosters with the Behling Simulation Center.
• Proctor and support NBME shelf examinations; manage evaluations in MedHub.
