Clinica Romero in Los Angeles is seeking a Surgical Services Coordinator to manage and coordinate surgical scheduling and related coordination for patients across Women’s Health and other specialties.

This role acts as the liaison between patients, providers, hospitals, and insurance plans, ensuring timely access to care, proper authorizations, and thorough follow-up, while maintaining compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Experience with insurance authorization and referrals is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical scheduling processes.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate with providers, hospitals, and patients.
• Obtain prior authorizations and referrals as required by payers.
• Verify patient documents, tests, and consents for procedures.
• Communicate dates, locations, and preparation instructions to patients.
• Maintain accurate EHR records of scheduling activities.
