Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgical cases and manage related administrative workflows, including scheduling surgeries, arranging pre-operative appointments, and obtaining insurance authorizations.

You will work closely with patients, surgeons, and clinical teams to confirm logistics, resolve scheduling conflicts, and support front desk operations across department clinics.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly urology.
• Knowledge of third party insurances and authorizations for treatment.
• Ability to research medical diagnosis and procedure codes in CPT Code book and ICD-10_CM code book.
• Demonstrated computer skills including word-processing, use of spreadsheets and data entry.
• Ability to understand and correctly use technical terminology and extract data from hospital records.
• Ability to communicate with medical, nursing and administrative personnel and study sponsors.
• Knowledge of UCLA Health System Processes.
• Strong writing and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and prioritize assignments.
