Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients for surgery and completes appropriate paperwork for surgery facilities.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and begins necessary processes for referrals or authorizations.
• Answers phone calls, takes referrals, and transfers calls; files and scans client records.
• Assesses operating room, staff, equipment and instrument availability before scheduling cases.
• Prepares daily reports and generates monthly statistics; schedules OR use and pre-admission visits.
• Schedules nursing staff and training for new staff; collaborates with departments for accurate patient billing.
