UCLA Health in Santa Monica seeks a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate all aspects of care for the general surgery service line. The role includes scheduling patient appointments, testing, and procedures, and coordinating surgeries in the main OR and ASCs.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with an indefinite employment type. The position involves insurance authorizations, documentation preparation, and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure seamless patient care and billing support.

Formación

• Experience scheduling surgeries and coordinating pre-op testing.
• Ability to obtain insurance authorizations and prepare documentation for physicians.
• Strong communication and multitasking across departments.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate all aspects of care for the assigned surgery service line.
• Schedule patient appointments, encounters, testing, and procedures as needed.
• Schedule surgeries in the main OR and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs).
• Explain charges to patients and coordinate with billing as needed.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, nursing units, and UCLA departments.
• Prepare reports on scheduling activity (daily/weekly/monthly).
