Job summary

EngageMED in Hot Springs, AR is seeking a Surgery Scheduler/Team Lead to coordinate inpatient and outpatient procedures. You will work with physicians, patients and hospital staff to ensure referrals, pre-authorizations and tests are scheduled and approved.

The role requires strong communication, organization and EMR proficiency, with 0-3+ years of related experience and applicable certifications. This is a safety-sensitive position in a patient-focused clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0–3+ years of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Current national Certification or Registration (CMA, RMA, NRCMA) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or ACLS required.
• Training and competency in assigned clinical procedures and medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inpatient and outpatient surgical and medical procedures and tests.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications with physicians and payers.
• Maintain the clinic surgery schedule and EMR entries for referrals and communications.
• Communicate with patients, nurses and physicians regarding surgery planning.
• Assist Practice Manager with complaint resolution and scheduling coordination.
• Ensure pre-operative tests are scheduled and completed prior to surgery.
