Job summary

Texas Orthopedics is seeking a Surgery Scheduler/Triage to coordinate all clinical care outside the clinic visit and ensure high-quality patient service. You will schedule surgeries, imaging, and therapy, manage pre-authorization steps, and communicate with providers and patients to keep workflows efficient.

The role requires a CMA or equivalent certification preferred, two years as a medical assistant, and strong EMR and scheduling software skills.

Qualifications

• Two years as a medical assistant with hospital, home health, or office experience; orthopedics preferred.
• Two years of surgery scheduling preferred and CMA certification is a plus.
• Proficient with EMR systems and medical terminology; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, document, and handle in-coming calls and coordinate surgeries and appointments.
• Assist with pre-op, post-op, and PT scheduling; manage authorization details when needed.
• Communicate with providers, patients, and staff to ensure efficient workflows.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate medical records in the EMR system.
