Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of surgeries between physicians and office staff and available OR time.
• Communicate schedule changes to providers and departments; adjust to maximize room and equipment use.
• Schedule next-day and future surgeries; maintain surgery assignments and distribute schedules.
• Obtain necessary lab work, H&P, and imaging as applicable; review and update patient records.
• Process patient charges by procedure type and duration; verify codes and update charges when needed.
• Answer, triage, and prioritize incoming calls; act as a resource to providers, staff, patients, and families.
• Operate and troubleshoot office equipment; manage supplies and reordering as needed.
