Job summary

Aurora Medical Group (AMG) Park Ridge is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to support providers and patients. This dual role includes referral coordination and surgical scheduling to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 8.5-hour days with a lunch break. Prior scheduling experience in a clinical setting is preferred to coordinate OR time, anesthesia, imaging, and related departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Typically 1 year of healthcare setting experience with scheduling or related functions.
• Experience in scheduling, registration, insurance authorization or patient billing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of surgical procedures between physicians and offices and various departments.
• Communicate schedule changes and adjust to maximize OR and equipment utilization.
• Schedule next-day and future surgical procedures; update surgery assignments.
• Print and distribute future OR schedules; notify providers of changes.
• Obtain lab work and imaging as applicable; review and enter charges; verify codes.
• Run reports and ensure accurate entry of codes; assist with patient inquiries.
