Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments and ancillary services for surgical procedures.
• Schedules patient procedures based on referrals; verifies physician privileges before scheduling.
• Gathers and documents insurance eligibility data; enters data in the EMR.
• Coordinates pre-surgery clearance requirements.
• Reviews work queues to contact patients for confirmations or future visits.
• Follows up with patients to reschedule missed or canceled appointments; records reasons and notifies management if policies are violated.
