Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical/medical environment is preferred.
• Experience in surgery scheduling is preferred.
• Experience with CPT coding/ ICD-9 terminology is preferred.
• Must be detail oriented with ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with various levels within an organization is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates process to schedule surgical and other procedures in operating room, physician office, sedation, and other hospital units.
• Manages physician schedules to support efficient practice operations.
• Communicates effectively with patients/ families, physicians, hospital staff, insurance companies, etc.
• Efficiently and accurately uses computer for generation of reports, letters, forms and other communications/documents.
• Provides administrative support for clinic and educational activities of physicians, nurses or other support staff as directed.
• Other duties as required.
