Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• 2 years previous experience in the medical field/physician’s office required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and enters booking information for surgical time and follows scheduling guidelines.
• Prepares tentative surgical schedules and verifies patient data.
• Communicates schedule changes to unit manager and Anesthesia; ensures records and charges are correct.
• Serves as Meditech 6.0 super user; compiles census statistics and prepares admin reports.
• Processes lab orders including data entry and specimen verification; collaborates with PFS, Surgery Material Coordinators, and Supply Chain.
• Prioritizes work to protect high-dollar accounts and ensures revenue capture.
• Maintains professional, courteous environment for patients and staff.
