UC San Diego Health is seeking a Surgery Scheduler Lead to supervise and train back-end operations including scheduling, referrals, and authorizations within the clinic.
Under minimal supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Lead coordinates complex calendars, supports front desk as needed, and drives process improvements across the department to enhance efficiency and patient care.
Under the minimal supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Surgery Scheduler Lead primarily oversees, provides leadership, and training for all back end duties such as call center, referral and authorizations, and other advanced administrative duties such as templates, office purchases, coaching, etc. This position has oversight over his/her junior counterparts. The Lead serves as a resource for the entire department. With the guidance of the Clinic Manager, the Lead initiates and participates in improvement efforts which directly impact the practice. Provides back up support to the front desk as needed.
Annual Full Pay Range: $70,157 - $92,624 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $33.60 - $44.36
