Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Centralized Scheduler to manage surgeries, appointments, and procedures. You will transcribe orders into the EMR, verify insurance, and maintain scheduling queues while supporting physicians and staff.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least one year in a medical setting, familiarity with medical terminology and computer systems, and a strong customer-service mindset. Shift is 12-hour; weekends included.

Qualificações

• One year of experience in a medical environment including scheduling duties preferred.
• Proficiency in medical terminology.
• Professional and courteous manners in dealing with customers.
• Appropriate and timely independent judgement.
• Computer experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule surgeries, appointments and procedures as requested by physicians and customers.
• Transcribe and scan orders and H&P’s into the EMR.
• Maintain scheduling work queues and perform schedegistration including insurance benefits and eligibility.
• Initiate medical necessity checks for procedures and appointments.
• Provide assistance to physicians, staff and hospital personnel; support department needs.
• Maintain master physician listing and ensure compliance with new procedures and reimbursement requirements.
