The Centralized Scheduler at Saint Francis Healthcare System is responsible for scheduling surgeries, appointments and procedures at the request of physicians and customers. You will transcribe and scan all orders into the electronic medical record and maintain scheduling work queues.

You will verify insurance benefits and eligibility and initiate medical necessity checks, ensuring the department and patients are served with confidentiality and respect.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year scheduling in a medical setting preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge a plus.
• Proficient computer skills with EMR experience.
• Professional and courteous customer interactions.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement.

Responsabilités

• Schedule surgeries, appointments, and procedures per physician requests.
• Transcribe and scan orders and H&P into EMR.
• Maintain scheduling work queues and patient registration (schegistration).
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility.
• Initiate medical necessity checks for procedures.
• Assist physicians and staff with scheduling needs.
• Maintain master physician listings and coordinate with departments.
• Comply with Saint Francis Mission and confidentiality requirements.
