Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the operating room across multiple specialties. You will assist physicians during surgeries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and serve as a clinical resource across service lines.

The role requires an accredited Surgical Technology program or LPN training, BCLS, and current GA licensure or CST certification. Join a team committed to excellence in patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program required.
• 3 years of experience and Surgical Tech Certification required.
• In lieu of degree, 7 years of experience can substitute for certification (total 10 years).
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) upon hire required.
• GA LPN license upon hire required or CST certification upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties under RN direction.
• Perform technical and patient care duties as a clinical specialist across service lines.
• Maintain surgical specialties and serve as a resource for the department.
• Engage in detailed surgical activities within the surgery department.

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
