Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Georgia is seeking a skilled Surgical Tech to assist physicians in the Operating Room across multiple specialties. You will perform technical tasks and provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma, graduation from a Surgical Technology program or LPN program, and certification as a Surgical Technologist. BCLS and GA LPN licensure are required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in the OR across multiple specialties and perform technical duties under RN supervision.

Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Education

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
