Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Georgia is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to support the operating room across multiple specialties. You will assist the physician during surgery, hand instruments, and provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributing to efficient surgeries.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, graduation from a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program, and BCLS/CST certifications; GA LPN licensure is required if applicable.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties.
• Perform technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Serve as a resource and maintain surgical specialties as necessary.

Responsibilities

Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
