Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team across multiple specialties. You will assist the physician during surgeries and help prepare instruments and sterile fields to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School graduate or GED.
Graduate of a Surgical Technology program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist or 3 years of surgical tech experience required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
N/A

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
BLS certification required.
