Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a skilled Surgical Tech to assist the physician during surgery in the Operating Room across multiple specialties. You will perform technical tasks and provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, acting as a clinical resource across service lines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, graduation from a surgical technology or LPN program, and certification (CST/BCLS).

Qualifications

• Education requirements: H.S. Diploma or GED and graduation from a Surgical Technology or LPN program.
• 3 years of surgical tech experience and CST certification required; or 10 years with substitution.
• BCLS, CST and GA LPN licensure required upon hire if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician during surgery in the OR across multiple specialties under RN supervision.
• Perform technical tasks and provide patient care as directed by the RN.
• Serve as a resource across service lines and support maintaining surgical specialties.

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
