Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia seeks a Surgical Tech to assist physicians in the operating room across multiple specialties. You will perform technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and act as a resource for several service lines.

Qualified candidates have a GED or high school diploma, completion of a surgical technology or LPN program, and Surgical Tech Certification with BCLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program required.
• 3 years of experience and Surgical Tech Certification required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required and GA LPN license if applicable or CST certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician during surgery in the OR for multiple specialties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform technical and some patient care duties and serve as a resource across service lines.
• Maintain surgical specialties as needed and contribute to detailed surgical endeavors within the department.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of expereince and Surgical Tech Certification Required or
• In lieu of degree 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience. Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure Current GA LPN License, if applicable Upon Hire Required or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Upon Hire Required
