Newrest Supply Coordinator Job Description

Newrest, a specialist in out-of-home food service, is the only major catering company active in all catering and related hospitality segments: airline catering, buy-on-board, duty-free on board, contract catering, remote site and support services, rail catering, airport and motorway retail concessions (visit our website: http://www.newrest.eu).

We are looking for a Supply Coordinator to support our in-flight operations in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities:

1. Place purchase orders in the business system with vendors for products, materials, and logistics services.
2. Demand planning for products, materials, and coordination services.
3. Manage purchase orders, including expediting to ensure all delivery dates are met.
4. Review inventory movements to determine purchase requirements; process and track all orders; resolve issues affecting delivery, cost, quality, and progress reporting.
5. Maintain both hard copy and electronic files and archiving systems for full supply chain traceability.
6. Manage the approved vendor list, including vendor qualification and development.
7. Develop strong vendor relationships and participate in vendor development meetings and improvement plans.
8. Monitor all incoming and outgoing orders and work requests, logging them into Winrest and other service order systems.
9. Coordinate and track unit movements inbound and outbound.
10. Assist the Logistics Leader in daily department organization and operations.
11. Ensure appropriate inventory levels at the warehouse for new products and daily business needs.
12. Place purchase orders based on supply requirements.
13. Dispatch and track inbound freight and orders, accommodating market changes to ensure products arrive cost-effectively.
14. Regularly review inventory to prevent surplus and minimize production losses by reducing downtime.
15. Trace delinquent arrivals from purchase orders and expedite orders for emergency parts and supplies by contacting suppliers and airlines.
16. Assist with daily functions and special projects as needed.
17. Perform other related duties as assigned.
