Newrest is looking for a Supply Coordinator to support their in-flight operations in Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Placement of purchase orders in the business system with vendors for products, materials, and logistics services.
- Demand planning for products, materials, and coordination services.
- Purchase order management, including expediting when necessary, to ensure all delivery dates are met.
- Review inventory movement to determine purchase requirements, process, and track all orders, resolving issues affecting delivery, cost, or quality, and report progress as needed.
- Maintain both hard copy and electronic files and archiving systems for full supply chain traceability.
- Maintain and manage the approved vendor list, including vendor qualification.
- Develop strong vendor relationships and participate in vendor development meetings and improvement plans.
- Monitor all incoming/outgoing orders and work requests, logging them into Winrest and other service order systems.
- Coordinate and track unit movements inbound and outbound.
- Assist the Logistics Leader in daily departmental organization and operations.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels at the warehouse for new products and daily operations.
- Place purchase orders according to supply needs.
- Dispatch and track inbound freight and orders, accommodating market changes, and ensuring accurate information and cost-effective delivery.
- Regularly review inventory to prevent surplus and minimize production losses by reducing downtime.
- Trace delinquent arrivals, expedite orders for emergency parts and supplies by contacting suppliers and airlines for immediate shipment.
- Assist in other daily functions and special projects as required.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel.
