We are seeking a full-time Supply Specialist to support Children's Hospital. The position involves rotating shifts: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM and 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM, with rotating weekends.

Purpose

To receive and store supplies, monitor inventory, identify and remove expired items, and fulfill supply requests.

Responsibilities
  1. Receive incoming materials, supplies, and equipment; verify accuracy against packing slips; record discrepancies or damages and notify the supervisor.
  2. Unload equipment, inspect and accept or reject supplies from deliveries, and stage them appropriately.
  3. Store items in designated locations within the Materials Management Department.
  4. Fill supply requests and deliver supplies to requisitioning departments.
  5. Ensure recipients sign for delivered items and file signed delivery sheets.
  6. Enter receipt information into the Peoplesoft system accurately.
  7. Prepare shipments by packaging, marking, and creating necessary documents.
  8. Coordinate returns by preparing items for shipment between user departments and the Southside DC.
  9. Check for expired products in par stock areas and dispose of them properly.
  10. Rotate inventory to minimize exposure to expired items.
  11. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work and supply areas according to standards.
  12. Distribute and collect linen throughout the hospital.
  13. Communicate effectively with hospital staff in person and via phone, across all age groups and populations.
  14. Follow reporting procedures for incidents or events affecting patient care.
  15. Attend safety, fire, and infection control training annually and stay current on safety procedures.
  16. Coordinate the ordering and placement of regulated items identified by the Pharmacy, including FDA-regulated medications, under supervision.
  17. Access secure Pharmacy locations while supervised by Pharmacy staff.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
