Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Manager Trainee in Findlay, Ohio to learn and manage a small driver count and non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends, while ensuring safe and timely freight movement. You will work under supervision on planning, routing, and DOT compliance with internal and external contacts.

The role emphasizes building relationships with drivers and carriers, training staff, and supporting cost control, reporting, and continuous improvement to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field or a High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of related experience.
• Willingness to travel to account, customer, and company event locations.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain relationships with drivers and carriers for new carrier setup and productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support special projects to optimize fleet operations.
• Learn to manage driver training and onboarding processes.
• Plan and monitor freight movement to meet customer requirements and improve on-time performance.
• Support payroll, budgets, driver counseling, and preparation of operational/financial reports.
