Job summary

Dexian is seeking a highly analytical Financial Operations Analyst to support monthly financial operations, invoice validation, and expense reconciliation for infrastructure-related services. The role involves reviewing vendor invoices, validating purchase orders, and tracking invoice status across multiple suppliers.

Remote (Santa Clara) with a 6-12 month contract. Competitive hourly pay of $66-$68 on W-2, with strong collaboration across Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Operations

Qualifications

• 3+ years in financial operations, AP, procurement, FinOps, or related analytics.
• Hands-on experience with invoice processing, PO validation, and vendor billing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Experience supporting accruals, forecasting, expense tracking, or financial reporting.
• Strong MS Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while maintaining controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate monthly vendor invoices for fixed space charges, recurring power services, metered electricity, and technical support services.
• Verify invoice periods, purchase orders, service classifications, quantities, and unit rates against contracts and expected costs.
• Investigate billing discrepancies, identify unexpected charges, and coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues.
• Track invoices received, approved, pending, disputed, or missing.
• Support month-end accruals for services where invoices have not yet been received.
• Assist with forecasting, budget-versus-actual reporting, and expense analysis.
• Monitor cost trends across suppliers, locations, service categories, and billing periods.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for audits and reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Operations teams to resolve invoice and purchase order issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve invoice-processing workflows, standardize approval controls, and enhance reconciliation accuracy.
• Support automation initiatives for matching invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and usage data.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Experience supporting accruals, forecasting, expense tracking, or financial reporting.
• Strong MS Excel and data analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while maintaining financial controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data centers, co‑location services, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, or facilities operations.
• Familiarity with consumption‑based billing, electricity usage, or power‑related charges.
• Experience with ERP systems, procurement platforms, and invoice approval workflows.
• Familiarity with SAP, Power BI, or similar financial reporting tools.
• Exposure to invoice automation, document extraction, or AI‑assisted financial processing.
• Experience improving financial controls, reconciliation procedures, or procure‑to‑pay processes.
