Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to support the Data Center Solutions group. You will monitor supplier performance, drive APQP/PPAP for new and modified parts, and lead corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

You will coordinate containment, material returns, and supplier development across North American plants, with up to 30% travel and emphasis on ISO 9001, AIAG Core Tools, and robust root-cause investigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical/Electrical).
• 3 years of experience in supplier quality engineering or assurance.
• Proven use of structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and across cultures.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% (domestic and international).
• Experience with APQP/PPAP and AIAG Core Tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with reading GD&T and CAD drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier performance and drive closure of quality issues.
• Execute APQP/PPAP for new and modified parts.
• Coordinate containment and return activities with suppliers.
• Review and approve supplier corrective actions.
• Track KPIs related to supplier issues and responsiveness.
• Develop receiving inspection strategies based on DFMEA.
• Collaborate with Corporate Supplier Quality on supplier evaluation.
