Job summary

Johnson Controls' Data Center Solutions group seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to monitor supplier performance, drive APQP and PPAP for new and modified parts, and push supplier quality issues to closure across North American plants.

You will work with plant Quality Engineers, isolate suspect material, manage returns, coordinate supplier corrective actions, and develop receiving inspection strategies based on DFMEA and past performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other technical discipline.
• 3 years’ experience in supplier quality engineering (SQE) or supplier assurance (SQA).
• Structured problem-solving experience to resolve manufacturing and systemic issues.
• Ability to communicate across cultures/regions and work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier performance and drive APQP/PPAP for new/modified parts.
• Isolate containment and manage return materials with suppliers.
• Coordinate sorting/rework activities and supplier corrective actions.
• Track KPIs related to supplier issues and development of inspection strategies.
